I come from a theatre/music background; I went to Wichita State University in Wichita, KS, where I studied theatre arts. I moved to Providence, RI in the mid-1990s. I began work as a professional stage manager at the regional theatre, Trinity Repertory Company in 1997 where I stayed until 2006. In the New England region I also worked at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA; the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT and Hartford Stage in Hartford, CT.

In 2008, I moved to Texas to be closer to family and, in the midst of all the change, I found a new passion: Photography. This art form brings together music and storytelling for me in a way that I hadn’t experienced before. While the collaboration of theatre and music in my 20s and 30s was welcoming for me at the time, I find that the solitary experience of photography brings me home to a contemplative place inside myself I relish in my 40s.
